[Well. This sucks.

And is quite painful too. I mean really, being strung to a tree by your underwear must be incredibly painful. Atsuro's just in luck, since that's exactly the predicament he's in right now! So you may find this loser ~~rolling around in a trash can~~ flailing around in a tree -- I mean.. this poor, confused new feather somewhere around the village, hanging from a tree and flailing around a bit while trying to get down.]

H-hey, can someone help me down...?! [WHAT IS EVEN GOING ON HERE.]

[Aaaand once that awful incident is through with, Atsuro will go ahead and tinker with his new fancy journal thing and throw up an entry! Just a tad too embarrassed to do it over video so.. Here, have some guy-who-is-literally-butthurt's voice.]

So uh.. has anyone else here arrived in really weird ways? [because really that was just awful.]

But in any case! Leo shoots, and Atsuro comes falling to the ground! ..Aaand then he faceplants.]

[Blink. He reholsters his gun again and holds out a hand to help him stand. Look, no guns!]

[Rubbing his head, he notices Leo's offered hand and takes it. Just gonna pull himself up now, yeaaah.]

So uh... Where are we, anyway? I just kinda woke up hanging from up there but I don't recognize this place at all. [Nor does he recall ever being in a tree. ...And without a shirt, apparently? Um.]

...is what they've been telling everyone all over lately. [He stoops to pick up his books.] You're in a strange place and the owners of this village won't let you run away.

Wait, seriously?! Kidnapped? And we're basically trapped here?

[Dammit, this isn't another Lockdown, is it? Atsuro's just about ready to see a demon popping up or something any time now.]

Yes, yes, and— [He pauses to dust off the top of his journal and looks up.] —would you prefer the version that requires you to read or the condensed version?

Whichever is fine. I could always just read up on the details later, right?

[Once the idea of being kidnapped and stuck inside of this place settles in his mind, at least.]

More or less. [He looks around for Atsuro's journal now— is it on him? Or is it still dangling from the top of the tree?] We're being studied by scientists.

[It's not on him at all, but it isn't necessarily on top of the tree, either! Thank goodness. It's just sitting right beside the tree. Yep.]

Studied by scientists? What for?

Curiosity? [He spots the journal at the base of the tree and bends down to pick it up. Flip flip flip.] I don't believe they ever explained it to us.

[Or rather they did but unfortunately, it isn't quite mentioned in the Guide and quite possibly, the mentions were made before Leo was here. He hands Atsuro the page with the Guide.]

I guess but... They have to have at least some kind of thing they're aiming for, right?

[He watches as Leo picks up the journal, wondering if that was supposed to be his or something. After all, it was just laying on the ground below where he was previously hanging from. When Leo hands him it, he starts reading the Guide.]

What's this? Some sort of guide...? [...Yep, looks that way. Just skimming through this a bit.]

Maybe. [He shrugs as he watches Atsuro thumb through the Guide. You have no idea how glad he was to see that the Guide was written, man. Written word is so cool.] The author has apparently been here for more than three years, last I heard. Interesting, isn't it?

It's not written in there, but maybe she might have an answer for you.

Three years? Wow, that's a while...

[Sure hoping he doesn't end up being stuck here for that long. As nice as it is to have your clothing and belongings stolen from you and be dumped onto a tree with painful wings sounds, he'd rather be home.]

Miss Sage is one of the teachers at the school over there too. [Oh, one of the books he's holding is slipping, time to adjust that. He points at the school somewhere on the other side of the plaza as he does so.] If you have any questions, you should be able to find her there.

Oh, right. [He's been so preoccupied with the fact that he's not home that he didn't realize that at all. Whoops.] Is there a place with them nearby..? It's really cold out, so..
