4th Bel [Voice/Action]

[Kouki’s been sick for the past couple of days, and Atsuro’s pretty sure that eating the same thing every day must be boring. Koubro needs better than that though! And seeing as how Atsuro does know how to cook—thanks to him living alone back at home—he figured he may as well try to mix things up by making something himself. …Except even if he does know how to cook, it’s not like he can pull a dish out of thin air. He needs a recipe to (religiously) follow so he doesn’t screw up…! As such, he goes ahead and makes a short voice entry.]

Hey guys! Do any of you happen to know of any good soup recipes? Especially ones that are good for when people are sick. I’d like to find a few, so if any of you could suggest some, that’d be great.

[Not long after making the journal entry, Atsuro can be found walking around the plaza for a bit. He may head on over to the library for a bit first, but then he goes ahead to pick up food and ingredients for Koubro’s food, and just for the apartment in general. After then, he goes to the bakery, and then back home to community building 7. Feel free to bump into him!]

Well, I'm not picky at all, and neither is Kou. So whatever should be fine.

[Leo doesn't care about what he's done!!]

[He breaks off because there's just been this CRASH from somewhere in this library.]

[Well he should!]

I'm sure there is-- [And then suddenly that crashing noise. Atsuro nearly jumps a bit, and then looks around.] W-woah... What was that?

[Sorry, Yellow, you're not Elliot!!]

...it sounded like glass.

[That's what they want him to think!]

Yeah, it did... I hope nobody's hurt or anything. [..] We should go check it out and see what happened.

[....so Yellow is Elliot?

He looks a little exasperated (there's actually a book that he wanted to read since it had been a coincidence that he'd happened past this aisle of books, but letting moisture into an area for books...well, that might not be a good idea.

Bother.]

[He turns to regard what he thinks was the direction of the noise.]

[Yelliot actually comes from a mix of Yellow and Elliot. So yes.

Atsuro turns in the direction Leo does, thinking for a moment. It did seem to come from there, didn't it? So maybe..

He nods firmly.] It sounded like it, yeah. Let's go take a look. [And he's already walking down there! Though he does make sure that Leo's coming along first before going too far.]

[Yes, yes, coming, coming. He's just sure to retrieve the book that he'd wanted to read (someone might take it and that would be troublesome) before stalking down the hallway as well.

...it's probably colder as they walk further down as well, brr. It's still cold outside, after all.]

[Really, Leo?! Ah well. Walking, walking... Atsuro may be picking up the pace as he does so.

[Well, it's getting colder, so the trail's getting...warmer?! Metaphorically.

But yes, round this corner and-- there we go, there's a broken window and fluttering drapes. Not surprising; it has been pretty cold in here, after all.

Except that something's strange about this whole thing-- the shattered glass shards are all outside and not inside.

Hope you aren't just standing and staring, Atsubro, or he might just walk into you.]

[...Well, that definitely explains why it was getting progressively colder as they ventured over here.

But no, he isn't just standing around and staring. Instead, he's investigating and looking outside of the window to see why there's a lack of glass shards inside.]

All of the glass is outside... What happened?

[Someone didn't fall or jump out of the window, did they? Or maybe something just did. Regardless of the case though, what the heck is going on..?!]

[Leo doesn't poke around as much— he's more of the observing kind, you see. The kind who tries to make sense of what he's seeing...or maybe just the kind who's read one too many mystery books and fancies he can try out something. He's no Sherlock Holmes, that much is certain.]

Perhaps they broke the window from inside?

[But how? Did they punch it? Where's the blood?]

[Hmm... How though...]

Maybe... I don't see any blood or anything around here though.

[So no punching windows! ..Would someone falling out of a window spill blood inside of a building? Atsuro wouldn't know, and he's not one to read mystery novels.]

Do you think someone could have thrown something from the inside to break it?

[They're on the ground floor; even if someone threw themselves out of the window, they wouldn't kill themselves. Get dastardly cut by glass maybe and suffer a bad blood loss but dying— not so much.

Not that Leo knows much about that. Or does he? The books he reads are suspect.]

It's possible. But why throw something from inside?

[Maybe they lost that much blood! Leo should be an expert at blood loss at this point... I mean.

Atsuro considers that for a moment. ..It really doesn't make much sense, does it?]

I don't know. I'm not sure what else it could have been though.

[Maybe someone got mad and threw a book out the window! But why would they do that..]

[Wow, man, he hasn't even bled yet. That's Elliot's speciality.

Though let's say that it's morning. It's morning and it's been raining the whole day yesterday and today, though not dripdripdrippy wet, it still cold enough and wet enough for the soil around the outside of the library to be still soft.

And that's what detectives look for, isn't it? Clues?! In the surrounding fauna?! He takes a few steps forward and casts a look around him— and back at the window.]

Is there anything outside there other than glass?

[Footprints, cigarette butts, anything. Your call.]

[Right, right...!

He takes another peek out the window, this time leaning over the edge and being careful not to bump into any of the broken glass on it. Hmmm, let's see...]

You mean aside from dirt? [Because there's a lot of that out there..! ..Obviously.] I see some footprints out there. They look kind of fresh, too. Not much else aside from that though.

[Are you trying to be smart with that first comment, Atsubro? Because it isn't very smart at all, nooope.

But hmm, really? He'll go peer over Atsuro's shoulder at them. Are they fresh? Or are they hard, as if they've been like that for ages?]

[Of course not. He's trying to be funny. Honestly!

Atsuro steps to the side a bit to give Leo some room. The footsteps certainly do look fresh though! Relatively speaking, but yeah. As if they had been made only ten or fifteen minutes ago at most.]

...perhaps they jumped out of the window?

[Well, that's what Atsuro considered before, but...]

Surprise. I almost knocked over a shelf of books the other day when a disembodied head spoke to me.
