4th Bel [Voice/Action]

[Kouki’s been sick for the past couple of days, and Atsuro’s pretty sure that eating the same thing every day must be boring. Koubro needs better than that though! And seeing as how Atsuro does know how to cook—thanks to him living alone back at home—he figured he may as well try to mix things up by making something himself. …Except even if he does know how to cook, it’s not like he can pull a dish out of thin air. He needs a recipe to (religiously) follow so he doesn’t screw up…! As such, he goes ahead and makes a short voice entry.]

Hey guys! Do any of you happen to know of any good soup recipes? Especially ones that are good for when people are sick. I’d like to find a few, so if any of you could suggest some, that’d be great.

[Not long after making the journal entry, Atsuro can be found walking around the plaza for a bit. He may head on over to the library for a bit first, but then he goes ahead to pick up food and ingredients for Koubro’s food, and just for the apartment in general. After then, he goes to the bakery, and then back home to community building 7. Feel free to bump into him!]

Oh, so... There were other witches in your world too? [...] Who's the one you're talking about? [maybe he knows her?! (no he doesn't)]

Plenty. Except most of them aren't as pleasant as me [ and considering this is Ange, that says a lot. ] so it's probably better for you to not meet any of them.

And.. the one I'm talking about is that Featherine witch. She goes around in her human form here though, so maybe you've talked to her. Touya Hachijou, I think that's the name she uses here.

[...yep. That certainly does say a lot!]

Touya Hachijou... I don't think that rings a bell. As far as I know, you're the only person I know who's a witch. What do you mean by them not being pleasant though? [curious]

I don't think she actually goes around saying she's a witch. [ She's in her human disguise just like back home, after all..

And.. ah, see, Atsuro, you just leave the door wide open for her to burst in and say awkward stuff! But even Ange can't say this fully deadpan and bluntly, so her voice is just a tad softer. ]

One of those witches.. was the one who killed me. She tore me apart until I was nothing but minced meat.

[He tenses a bit upon hearing that. Yeah, she mentioned being killed just moments ago but... hearing it again didn't feel any less er.. serious, for lack of a better term. Or crazy. The way she was describing it now didn't help matters at all either.]

She... [...minced meat, huh.] But... Why the hell did she do that? To you, or to any of your family, really.

... For fun. [ She says it so simply, since it just really is that way in her world. Do you understand how screwed up it is back home for her now, Atsuro.. ]

To my family was done by another witch, but the witch who did all of that to me definitely just found it amusing to use me like that. [ a pause, as she wonders if she should tell Atsuro this, but.. she's been wanting to vent about this for a while now, and while she's on the topic with someone she trusts.. ]

Actually.. that witch was in this place until about half a year ago. Back in July she forced me to meet up with her on the top of one of the community buildings, and then.. she threw me off the edge.

For fun? What the hell...?! That's just messed up!

[I mean, really... Who the hell kills for fun? That's nuts. These witches are just crazy, aren't they? The people who killed each other during the Lockdown weren't even killing for fun, and that was pretty radical as is. But to kill someone just because it's amusing..]

And she did what? That's... That's just crazy! I'm sure as hell glad she isn't here anymore... [For Ange's sake, really.]

It is messed up, isn't it? But that's just the way my world works. [ She's used to it by now - it's why she's so deadpan and can say so many screwed up things casually, since it's all normal.. ]

... I was pretty glad when I found out she wasn't here anymore either. We got involved in more experiments together before that too, like that one time she tried to cook me. It's easier like this.

[ less of a threat hanging above her head. ]

Y-yeah, it really is... [He'd say "man, your world is messed up" but.. that could be kind of rude, couldn't it? Look at Atsuro, actually thinking before he says something awkward--]

But geez... Cooking you too? I mean, even if they were just experiments, that's still a little.. [crazy? nuts? He has yet to see people do something that radical during an experiment, so...] Um... If you don't mind me asking, what's her name? [Just so he can keep an eye out in case she ever returns for some reason.]

[ She would just agree if he said it, honestly.. ]

Bernkastel. That's her name. [ And at least that can be said more casually again, since it's just a fact. ]

But if she ever arrives in this place, you should stay far away from her. Don't even speak to her. She's much too dangerous.

[ And Atsuro is someone she actually cares about, so.. that witch might like to troll him even more then. ]

[He's just trying to play it safe for once...!]

Bernkastel... [That's a kinda weird name. But whatever.] Got it. I'll keep that in mind. [...] The same goes for you too though, alright? [Even if it does go without saying.] If she comes back here, you make sure to stay away from her too.

I wish I had that luxury.

[ She shrugs, and almost even sounds amused when she says it.. but it's more bitter irony kind of amused. ]

She won't leave me alone even if I want her to, that's as much as last time proved. And if I'll try to just ignore her over the journals, she'll seek me out in person and do all those things all over again to me if she happens to feel like it on a whim.

[...Oh. He was hoping that wouldn't be the case... But from how Ange was describing her before, it doesn't sound that surprising at all, really. But...]

..Well, in that case, if that ever happens... I'll make sure she doesn't get to you.

[ For a moment she's quiet - near speechless, really, or she just doesn't know what to say in the face of that conviction. It's not often that people really try for her, so even in this place it's still always weird to deal with for a moment until she regains herself. ]

... I told you to stay out of it, right? You'd only get hurt, Atsuro. .. I'm already used to this, so.. I'd be fine either way.

Well yeah, I know. But it just wouldn't be fair if I'm safe while you aren't, you know? And if anything, me running into her isn't as dangerous as you running into her, from the sound of it.

[A brief pause.]

...Besides, you're a friend of mine. There's no way I could just let you get hurt and not do anything about it. [And then a grin.] And I'm a lot stronger than I look, you know.

[ Don't put it like that, how is she supposed to handle him saying she's a friend of his' and that he doesn't want her to get hurt and just jhgdjhdjk. How to deal with people being nice, it's completely impossible.. But after a momentary inner freakout, she almost looks slightly amused or.. even happy as she answers. ]

... You're a real idiot, Atsuro.

[Deal with it, Ange! He holds a serious expression up until she answers though, and then it changes to a more embarrassed one.]

..H-huh? How does that make me an idiot? [Gosh rude!]

[ It's tsun language for her being grateful for you being her friend, okay. You deal with it. ]
