5th Bel [Voice/Action]

[So! June 11! It's a very special day for Atsuro. Well, it should be, anyway. He doesn't pay much mind to it. But today marks the eighteenth anniversary of his coming out of his Wi-Fi-lacking nerdlinger womb. Of course, he finds the day no different from yesterday, but the thought of him being eighteen is still kinda weird.

But that matters not. What interests him more are the results of some of his findings after examining Hiro's cell phone and comparing its demon-summoning application to the one on his COMP. Seeing as how demons can't actually be summoned here, he couldn't find much, but the few things he did discover were pretty interesting and got him wondering about some ~things~. So sometime around noon he'll throw up a voice entry asking about said things.]

Yo, Luceti! I've got a question for you all. So lots of people here have creatures other than animals in their home worlds, right? I was wondering if any of you could tell me about them, especially if they can be, er... summoned. If not, that's fine too. I'm just kinda curious. Thanks!

[He'll stick around in his apartment in CH7 for a while to respond to any replies he gets, as well as to chill with his roommates as always. After then though, he'll head on over to the Brigade for its meeting, and then, well...

Well, all the worlds I visited got attacked by these monsters called Unversed. They came in all shapes in sizes, and some of 'em were really tough.

[...And then there were prize pods. Glorious prize pods.]

Unversed, huh? I don't think I've heard of anything like that before. Was something leading them to attack?

[...Also, visiting worlds? Considering how Kouki left for the demon world back at home, that's pinging Atsuro too..]

Actually, there was.

[He takes a deep breath.]

See, the Unversed were made outta negative feelings. The feelings of a guy named Vanitas, who used them to lure me away from home and make me stronger.

[For... very twisted reasons, at that. Reasons that still bother him to this day.]

[The name Vanitas sounds familiar... He's heard people mention the name here and there in Luceti, after all.]

Oh geez... What do you mean by them being made out of his negative feelings though? [Atsuro probably sounds a little less confused than he should, seeing as how the COMPs work off of ~feelings~ coming from the internet, and this isn't all that far off.]

Exactly what it sounds like. They're made outta negativity, and I think they get stronger by feeding off things of sadness and hate.

[After all, the Unversed pretty much swarmed the forest when Snow White was feeling lost and afraid.]

Huh. Really? That's... actually pretty sad. [And depressing, maybe?] We have something along those lines back at home, but it works off of emotions in general, rather than something like negativity.

Vanitas' whole life is sad.

He was created from my darkness, but only to create a powerful weapon. It's no wonder he's got so much negativity when he was only made to hurt others.

Well it.. does sure sound like it. [Geez... all of this sounds pretty sad in general though. Created from darkness... yeah.]

What was the point in him trying to make that weapon and hurt others though? If you don't mind me asking, anyway. This does sound serious, so..

To start a war. That's all Vanitas and his Master wanted.

[At least, as far as he knows; there might be a few details he's missing out on, but after experiencing the χ-blade's forging once...]

But we're not talking about a small-scale conflict. I'm pretty sure they were gonna drag all the other worlds into it, or at least a couple of 'em.

Wait, seriously? All of that to start a whole war? And one between multiple worlds? Why the hell did he want to do that?

[Even if it was just a small-scale war, that on its own would have been pretty bad. But a war reaching out to other worlds... what is this, Galaxy War I? :|]

I wish I knew.

[There's a lot about Master Xehanort's motivations he just doesn't get. Maybe because he hasn't had a chance to talk to him.]

Guess the only way to find out is to ask him, and he's not even here.

It sounds like it. But... He was here before, wasn't he? Or at least, I remember hearing the name around.

[The name definitely does sound familiar, so..]

Well, Vanitas was, but that was a long time ago.

[Almost half a year now.]

And if he did come back, it'd... [sigh]

He'd probably try to get me to join with him again.

Oh. In that case, I'm kind of glad I missed him. [Or just didn't meet him, anyway. Atsuro's been here for ten months now, so...]

But uh.. Would you join him if he tried to recruit you?

Not that kinda joining. It's more like he... er, well, he wanted to take over my body.

[a beat.] ..Wait... Huh? Is something like that even possible?

[I mean, he and Ange swapped bodies during that last experiment, but this sounds like something completely different.]

[He's a little hesitant to respond, but...]

It is. It's... sorta happened here before.

Oh. [..oh geez. Atsuro pauses, thinking for a moment.] Well.. If you don't mind me asking, what happened?

[Another pause.] ..Er, actually, would you feel better if I filtered this?

Nah, it's okay. It's no big secret or anything.

[But, hmmm... how to explain.]

But, basically, since Vanitas is my other half, Master Xehanort wanted us to join together and create the Keyblade. It just required me to get a whole lot stronger, so the two of us fought a whole bunch until... well, I was ready.

Vanitas purposely let me destroy him so he could do it. I guess his body had to get wiped out for him to join with my heart again. Then he just... took over.

Well, if you're sure then. [But yeah, listening, listening..!]

Huh... Did you know that defeating him would allow for him to take over?

Not at first. Truth is, I didn't even know Vanitas was connected to me for the longest time; it's all a bunch of stuff I learned once I showed up here.

And, well... it was all really hard to take in.

Oh, wow... Yeah, for you to find out so much and stuff like that while being here, I can imagine it being really rough. Sorry to hear about that, dude. But everything's alright now, right? [Since Vanitas isn't here anymore..!]

Yeah, it's been that way for a while! Sure there's been a few rough patches, but I figure life's always got its cloudy days.

[Not like he'd let that bring him down for long.]

Yeah, that's true. That's a good way to look at it, you know. Glad to hear that it's been alright for the most part, at least.
