5th Bel [Voice/Action]

[So! June 11! It's a very special day for Atsuro. Well, it should be, anyway. He doesn't pay much mind to it. But today marks the eighteenth anniversary of his coming out of his Wi-Fi-lacking nerdlinger womb. Of course, he finds the day no different from yesterday, but the thought of him being eighteen is still kinda weird.

But that matters not. What interests him more are the results of some of his findings after examining Hiro's cell phone and comparing its demon-summoning application to the one on his COMP. Seeing as how demons can't actually be summoned here, he couldn't find much, but the few things he did discover were pretty interesting and got him wondering about some ~things~. So sometime around noon he'll throw up a voice entry asking about said things.]

Yo, Luceti! I've got a question for you all. So lots of people here have creatures other than animals in their home worlds, right? I was wondering if any of you could tell me about them, especially if they can be, er... summoned. If not, that's fine too. I'm just kinda curious. Thanks!

[Action]
[He'll stick around in his apartment in CH7 for a while to respond to any replies he gets, as well as to chill with his roommates as always. After then though, he'll head on over to the Brigade for its meeting, and then, well...

...Anyone in the plaza may find a poor birthday boy in his usual beanie, along with a not-so-usual blue sundress. ...Yep. He's handing out fliers promoting Haruhi's recent announcements as well, so he may or may not interrupt your character from their activities for a brief moment! ...Most likely not though, since wow why is he wearing a dress.

After then, he'll be in the library for a bit as per usual before heading back home. Feel free to stop him during any of his activities, normal or hideous--]

Yes, though only under particular circumstances. Gates are passages between the worlds, but are rarely permanent. Monsters may easily be sent to the Forest and all other races to Earth by a spell called Retornen, the purpose of which is "to return something home".

I assume you are human...? Your kind would only be able to be sent away from the Forest with Retornen, as Earth is your ancestral home. But yes, gates can be used to enter it, provided they are large enough to accommodate a human...and that whatever other conditions might be present are met. Gates result from instability, after all, and are themselves unstable and unpredictable.

That is correct.

The exact state of the Forest of Beginnings isn't very well recorded, so I can't say for certain. I imagine it would be much less dangerous than dealing with the disoriented and agitated monsters that appear from gates, but a human might have trouble navigating the Forest or communicating with its natives.

I am a monster, but my kind have lived on Earth for our entire recorded history, and consider the Forest of Beginnings our home only in a mythological sense.

If by "you" you mean monsters in general - yes, very much so. Many different kinds of monsters roam the wilderness. They would be as hard for any people of Earth to ignore as the plants and animals that are entirely native.

My particular species has historically occupied a rather small area. We are known within that area, but you would not have to travel far to find a town where nobody knows of our existence.

Univir.

[That's YOU-nih-veer, for the muns at home.]

Once, in a time forgotten by modern records, we may have been widespread. It has been too long to be certain of anything.

Oh, the usual. Grand stories of prosperity and magnificence, consistent denial of any responsibility for past ills. History is a fickle thing in all cultures.

Ondorus. It's a pleasure.

[That is a very, very Eastern Country name you've got going there, kid. fantasy japaaaaan]

If it's not too rude of me, may I ask what inspired the question?

Demons are a kind of monster in my world. They are bipedal and red-skinned, with tails and horns, and possess fire magic. They have a rather warlike culture and live in the areas most secluded from the races of Earth.

I assume there are differences from that?
